Welding & Cutting Processes for Engineers Senior Technicians

Objectives:

  • For those who are working in various welding disciplines it is of great importance to be knowledgeable in all available welding processes. The course aims at revealing the applications and the advantages of each welding process. The course also helps in preparing the Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) by discussing the welding variables of each process.

Contents:

  • 1. Heat input calculations and temperature changes during welding
  • 2. Welding power source specifications
  • 3. Arc welding processes including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW),
  • 4. Resistance welding
  • 5. Oxy-fuel welding.
  • 6. Non-conventional welding processes (Plasma arc, electron beam and laser beam welding)
  • 7. Metals cutting techniques (Oxygen, Carbon electrode, laser, etc.)

Who Should Attend:

  • The course is constructed to give the most recent available knowledge related to welding and thermal cutting techniques for the attendees (engineers, operators and senior welding technicians) who are involved in design, operation and maintenance of mechanical facilities in most of the industries.
