Supervision of Welding Subcontractors

Objectives:

• The present training course aims at offering the owners’ staff with the required information to perform supervision according to best industrial practice and rules. The course is beneficial to all engineers, supervisors and foremen who are working at the departments of welding, maintenance, projects, operation and inspection.

Contents:

• 1. Actions to be taken Before Welding:
• • Assure the qualifications of welding procedures and welders
• • Assure the quality of the welding equipment and their compliance with the required job.
• • Assure the compliance of the welding consumables specs and storage with the standard requirements.
• • Revise safety actions taken to perform the job.
• 2. Actions to be taken During Welding:
• • Work is in compliance with the written procedure.
• • Performing inter-pass cleaning.
• • Performing inter-pass NDT if required.
• 3. Actions to be taken After Welding:
• • Assure performance of the welding company inspection.
• • Preparation and performance of the owner’s inspection program.
• • Record maintenance.
